Killers

Bundy killed young women who all had long, straight, dark hair. Sutcliffe, and many others, killed only women he thought were prostitutes. Roth killed his wives, four of them. De Melker poisoned the men closest to her, one son and a string of husbands. Heidnik seemed to have chosen members of his church for imprisonment. Cunningham’s victims were good looking and intelligent. Dahmer’s were either homosexual boys or boys who attracted him physically.

In every case of a series of murders the victims have something in common. What do the victims of the October killings have in common? And for how many years has this been going on? Abigail says many years, but she doesn’t know.

Most serial killers are men and their victims women. There is almost always a strong sexual element in the killings. In Dahmer’s case, he was a homosexual so his victims were usually other homosexuals. But in the case of the October killings, as far as Abigail has been able to see, the victims have all been men.

I don’t think she’s telling me everything. If the victims are men, and they are, what is going on?
